Meet the Chairman

I feel very honoured and privileged to serve as the new Chairman of the West Midlands Branch and I hope to continue building on our many successes. I’m very conscious that I have a ‘hard act to follow’ and I would like to record my personal thanks to Liz Hall for all the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication she has given to the Branch. She has already offered me her support & assistance and I know that there will many occasions in the future when I am going to be so grateful to her for that too!

I am in awe of the splendid work our magnificent fund raising team has done! Last year the Branch was able to distribute over £46,000 to aid people with MND in the West Midlands. Over the next few months we will also be sending in excess of £20,000 to National Office to assist funding of Research, the Equipment Loan Service (including the new AbilityNet partnership - providing laptops and computer equipment to pwMND . . . so crucial in maintaining communication) and to help fund the many other vital services provided through the National Office.

We will continue our efforts to recruit volunteers, seeking people with skills and enthusiasm to join our wonderful team to raise funds, raise awareness of MND and help with the day to day running of the Branch.
